US electronic retailer Best Buy have announced their first store opening will be in Lakeside shopping centre, Thurrock. Opening on April 30th it will be their UK debut, followed by openings in Southampton, Liverpool and Merry Hill in June. In the US Best Buy accounts for a large share of the consumer electronics market so it will be interesting to see its impact on PC World and other UK electronic retailers.
